Army Health Promotion

This rapid action revision, dated 7 September 2010–

o Defines responsibilities for the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 as related to the Army Campaign Plan for Health Promotion, Risk Reduction, and Suicide Prevention strategy through a multiple-staff/agency compliance arm (para 1-7a(1)).

o Elaborates on Deputy Chief of Staff, G-1 responsibilities to collect feedback from multiple-staff/agency compliance assessments conducted at installations, states, territories, and Reserve support commands to adjust health promotion programs and initiatives (para 1-7a(2)).

o Includes additional responsibilities for senior commanders related to establishing and executing an Army Campaign Plan for Health Promotion, Risk Reduction, and Suicide Prevention compliance arm, using internal staffing assets (para 1-21c).

o Requires State Adjutants General and commanders of Army Reserve Direct Reporting Units and major subordinate commands to ensure the execution of the plan’s compliance arm at all states and territories, using internal staffing assets (para 1-23e).

o Requires senior commanders, in coordination with the Community Health Promotion Council, to establish and execute a compliance arm of the Army Campaign Plan for Health Promotion, Risk Reduction, and Suicide Prevention (para 2-1i).

o Requires senior commanders to measure and assess the effects of the Army Campaign Plan for Health Promotion, using the Army Campaign Plan for Health Promotion compliance checklist (para 2-1i).

o Incorporates an Internal Control Evaluation Checklist (app B).

o Makes additional rapid action revision changes (throughout).
