MEMORANDUM FOR ARMY CHIEF  INFORMATION OFFICER AUDITOR GENERAL, DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY

SUBJECT:  Improvements Needed With Tracking and Configuring Army Commercial Mobile Devices  (Report No. DODIG-2013-060)
We are providing this repott for review and comment.  The Army did not implement an effective cybersecurity program for commercial mobiles devices.  If devices remain unsecure, malicious activities could disrupt Army networks and compromise sensitive DoD information.  We  considered management comments on a draft of this  report when preparing the final report.

DoD Directive 7650.3  requires that all recommendations be resolved promptly. We received comments fi·om the Director, Army Chief lnfotmation Officer Cybersecurity Directorate on behalf of the Chief Information Officer, Department of the Army.  The Director’s comments on Reconunendations 1 and 2 were nonresponsive.  Therefore, we request additional comments from the Chieflnformation Officer, Department of the Army, on these recommendations by April25, 2013.  We  considered the Director’s comments on Recommendation 3  responsive.
